A Minister of the Gospel has appealed to people in leadership positions to undertake self examination and start a new life to promote peace, harmony and speedy development of the nation.

Reverend David Yalley, Superintendent Minister of the Ebenezer Methodist Church at Breman in the Ashanti Region, said there should be a new understanding among political, religious and ethnic groups to promote peace and accelerated development.

Preaching to mark the resurrection of Christ last Sunday, Rev Yalley said the death and resurrection of Christ should serve as a turning point for all Ghanaians. He said Ghanaians should understand that Christ is the centre of all human activities and that all their actions should be geared towards the achievement of peace in the country.

Rev Yalley said the resurrection of Christ brought hope to mankind and urged Christians to change their attitude and serve Christ well and called for hard work and dedication.
Reverend Yalley spoke against the recent craze for material wealth, especially among the youth and advised them to rely on God who gives hope and wealth to all people.
