Edward Mahama ready to do PNC’s bidding

The flag-bearer of the Peoples National Convention, Dr. Edward Mahama says he is ready to partner any presidential candidate if only it is in the interest of his party.

Dr. Mahama says he cannot singularly decide to partner any presidential candidate if the PNC has not directed him to consider such an offer.

There are speculations that Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom of the Convention People's Party is seriously considering either Dr. Mahama or former governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor as a running mate.

But CPP insiders say Dr. Nduom is most likely to name the PNC flag-bearer as his running mate in a move to bring both Nkrumaist parties together.

Reacting to the rumour Dr. Mahama told Joy News that he is yet to be approached by Dr. Nduom and insisted that the decision is not his to make.

He told Joy News' Seth Kwame Boateng that once the party decides that an alliance would be in the interest of the party, he would not have any contrary view.

Dr Nduom would not confirm or deny the speculations but insisted no such decision had been made yet.

CPP Chairman Ladi Nylander told Joy FM's Super Morning Show that the CPP will be looking forward to collaborate with the PNC on the running mate issue when it becomes necessary, while PNC Chairman Alhaji Ramadan, also agreed that both parties can come together and properly plan their campaign.
