The good `Samaritan Judge`

A District Magistrates' Court at Assin- Foso has offered to “make arrangements” to help an unemployed teenager who was brought before it, for being on someone's premises unlawfully, to find work.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr Joseph Blay, described the accused
Kwadwo Nyamekye, 19, from Assin- Asamankese, as a “young man” and ordered him to use part of his income after he had been employed, to pay for the damage to the complainant's window.

Nyamekye, had pleaded guilty to being on the premises for unlawful purposes and causing unlawful damage, and was bonded to be of good behaviour for 18 months, or in default, six months imprisonment.

Prosecuting Police Superintendent Godact Hlordzi, told the court that on March 2, 2008 Nyamekye was arrested when he broke into the house of one Mr Kofi Boafo, to steal.
He had damaged one of the windows, worth GH¢55.00
