Can We Make God Happy?

What can we do to make God happy? Can we give him anything? God allows us to choose whether to serve him or not. He does not force us to do anything. Let's try to figure out why God made us so that we can choose whether we will serve him or not.

You may know what a robot is. It is a machine that is made so that it will do whatever its maker wants it to do. So the robot has no choice. God could have made us all to be like robots so that we could do what he wanted us to do, but God didn't do that. He wants us to serve him because we love him and because we want to obey him. He created us in his own image and likeness.

Due to his love for us Jesus Christ, his beloved son and an innocent man died almost 2000 years ago so that we might live. His death has been described as a rescue from deadly enslavement of sin.

We should, therefore, show appreciation for his death by commemorating it. However, a few people today have full appreciation for the great sacrifice.

As children we make God happy whenever we do what is right. Little things that we do and fancy can make God sad. Acts such as stealing, telling lies, teasing, bullying among others can make us lose favour in the sight of God.

As Christ died for us by carrying all our sins to the cross, we should always strive to do what is right and also try to forgive others as Jesus forgave us our sins by dying on the cross for us. And that's what Easter is all about.
