THE MANAGING Director of the National Investment Bank (NIB) Limited, Sir. Daniel C. Gyimah, has denied speculation that he was eyeing the parliamentary seat of the former Senior Minister, Hon. J. H. Mensah.
In a statement, Mr. Gyimah said categorically that he has no interest in contesting the seat and that the speculations making the rounds in the dailies were a source of embarrassment to him.
In our March 13, 2008 edition of DAILY GUIDE titled “Hot Race For J. H. Mensah's Seat”, we reported that four people have so far shown interest in the Sunyani East Constituency seat since the New Patriotic Party (NPP) announced the opening of nominations for parliamentary primaries in the area, and that one of the four being mentioned was Mr. Gyimah.
