The immediate past Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Reverend Dr. Charles Gyan Duah, has applauded the democratic system of governance in the Presbyterian Church. He described it as one of the best.

Rev. Dr. Gyan Duah who is currently serving as the Asawase District Minister of the Church in Kumasi was reacting to the assertion that his new appointment as a district minister after serving as the second highest officer after the Moderator was a demotion.

In an interview at the just ended Presbyterian Ministers conference in Kumasi, he said the constitution of the church requires a minister to serve in the capacity of a reverend minister, at any designation of the church's choice, even after holding the highest office in the church. He said he therefore accepts his new appointment in good faith.
