Ghana international John Pantsil enjoyed full time action in West Ham United's FA Cup third round tie before he leaves the club for the Nations Cup in Ghana.

West Ham were held to a dour 0-0 draw at Upton Park by Manchester City but Pantsil stood out in the game that produced few highlights.

He slipped a ball to Etherington, who burst down the left flank and looked to pick out Hayden Mullins in the box, forcing Micah Richards into a last-ditch clearance.

The 2006 summer signing has been part of the Hammers last two league games after a long absence from first team.

He grabbed the headlines after impressing as a substitute in their surprise 2-1 of Manchester United and has since been part of Alan Curbishly's first team list.

Pantsil is expected leave on Sunday for the Black Stars pre-African Cup of Nations training camp in Abu Dhabi.
