Reports from Bawku say tension is still high following Tuesday's sporadic shooting in the Municipality. The exact cause of the confusion is not yet known but it has created tension among the people and compelled them to stay indoors.
In a telephone interview with the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, he said as at 1000 hrs GMT Tuesday morning, violence was still simmering with people's houses being burnt and gun shots.
Mr. Ayariga appealed for more security personnel to beef up security in the area. All attempts to get the regional Police command on phone proved futile.
