Gbese Mantse calls for peace in the general election
The Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayibonte has called on Ghanaians to do all they can to protect the peaceful atmosphere the country is currently enjoying. He was speaking at his palace at Gbese in Accra when the Dowuona family of Osu, paid him a courtesy call. The family also presented him with a ram, drinks, pieces of traditional cloth and food stuffs.
Nii Ayibonte said as the nation enters an election year, it is imperative that every citizen exhibit tolerance and understanding of one another's views.
He was emphatic that next year will provide a test of the tolerance levels of Ghanaians as political activity moves into high gear.
Nii Ayibonte expressed his appreciation to the Dowuona family of Osu, for the gesture and wished them well.
He also used the occasion to pray for the peace and well being of the political leadership of the country and for Ghanaians in general.
