THE CAPE Coast Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Madam Mercy Arhin has commended senior members of the Anglican Church for their immense contributions towards the work of God.

Madam Arhin said it was through the efforts of senior members that the church had come this far and praised them for their role.

She as well prayed for God's protection and guidance for them throughout the coming year.

Madam Arhin was speaking at a church service held for senior members of the Anglican Christ Church Cathedral in Cape Coast recently.

She pledged the Cape Coast Municipal Assembly's support in organizing a party for the senior members next year.

Madam Arhin stated that any house which does not have old members suffers, hence the need for the church to thank God for the lives of the old people in the church.

The occasion, which is held every year, was to entertain church members who were above 60 years, to make them feel they are also part of the society.

About 100 senior members of the church attended the service and were served with drinks and food while the brigade band entertained them.

Some of the senior members who were enjoying the music by the band took to the dancing floor, praising God for their lives.

The Dean of the church, Rev Father Francis Ato Koomson urged the old people to pray and thank God for being alive. From Sarah Afful, Cape Coast
