Christmas babies in Tema and Agona Swedru

Nineteen mothers were delivered of their babies on Christmas Day at the Tema General hospital. The babies are made up of 11 females and eight males. The senior staff midwife in charge of the Labour Ward, Gladys Quarshie told the Ghana News Agency that all the babies and their mothers are doing well, adding that three of them were delivered through caesarean section and the rest through normal deliveries Ms Quarshie said as at midday on Wednesday, four babies, made up of three females and one male had been born unfortunately, one did not survive.


The Agona Swedru Government Hospital recorded 10 births on Christmas and boxing days. This is made up of two males and eight females. The Nursing Sister at the hospital, Mrs. Rebecca Aikins told the Ghana News Agency that all the babies and their mothers were in good condition.
