The National Road Safety Commission has appealed to drivers to exercise maximum caution on the road during and after the Christmas and New Year festivities to avoid carnage on the roads. According to the Commission, the volumes of passengers have increased and the stations are choked with travellers itching to get to their destinations.
Everything possible should therefore be done to ensure absolute security.

This is contained in a Goodwill Message issued by the Ashanti Regional Coordinator of the Commission, Kwaku Oware Boateng to mark the Christmas and the New Year.
The statement asked drivers to allow pedestrians to cross safely, and to desist from insulting other road users, parking at unauthorized places and the use of mobile phones when driving. The message also asked pedestrians to be cautious when crossing the road to guarantee their safety.
