We Hit The Nail

Last Thursday, we predicted correctly the outcome of the NPP presidential race in DAILY GUIDE front page banner story, TOP 5 NPP MEN.

In that story, our correspondent in Koforidua, Thomas Fosu Jnr., wrote that the paper's independent investigations in various parts of the Eastern region placed only six aspirants in the presidential race as frontrunners.

We named them as Nana Akufo-Addo, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Yaw Osafo Maafo, Vice President Aliu Mahama, Dan Botwe and Hackman Owusu-Agyeman.

Our reporter in Central region, Sarah Afful also predicted correctly that the contest was a straight fight between Nana Akufo-Addo and Alan, while Emmanuel Opoku from Takoradi wrote that his investigations showed that the race was between Nana Akufo-Addo, Alan, Osafo Maafo and Alhaji Aliu Mahama.

Below are the final results as declared by the Electoral Commissioner yesterday, after a highly competitive race for NPP DECIDES ELECTION 2008. Nana Akufo-Addo 1096 (47.9%)
