25 Wesley College Students get Math Awards

Twenty-five students from Wesley College in Kumasi have received award at this year's best mathematics student's awards ceremony. A London based Ghanaian, Philip Baffour, who initiated and sole sponsor of the awards said, he hoped the introduction of the awards will bring Mathematics to the forefront of formal education.

Mr. Baffour presented a Golden Certificate and one hundred Ghana cedis to the overall best Mathematics students, Master Philip Adu Twum.

The first runner-up master Sakyi Augustine also received a silver certificate and an amount of GHC60, Master Appiah Samuel who placed 3rd got a bronze certificate and GHC40.

The Principal of the college, Badu-Fordjour Anyan, congratulated the winners and appealed to other philanthropists to also come in with a similar package to promote other subjects like English Language and Science.
The Vice-Principal in charge of academics, Reverend Owusu-Agyepong, expressed his gratitude to the donor and commended the award winners for their outstanding performance.
