A PORTION of the building that houses Tanink Euro Group, distributors of Alfa Romeo and Fiat vehicles along the Tema-Accra motorway, has collapsed under mysterious circumstances, injuring one female fire officer.
Information gathered by DAILY GUIDE revealed that the injured female fire officer was among some fire service personnel detailed to the site when the building started to collapse.
Management of the company was tight-lipped when the media visited the scene to find out the cause of the incident, as there was no rainfall or storm to trigger the collapse.
A senior fire officer confirmed that his colleague was injured when she slipped.
He said the Tema Regional Headquarters of the Service had a call at about 12:30 pm yesterday that the Tanink building was collapsing, but when they arrived at the scene, part of it had already fallen off.
He noted that staff of the company had removed all items from the building before it collapsed.
