
In a landmark recognition that is reverberating across the global academic community, Prof. (Dr. Dr. Dr.) Joseph Kwasi Agyemang, widely noted as the first person in the world to attain three unique PhDs in Accounting, has been adjudged the Outstanding Educator in Accounting and Auditing by the Global Academic Awards, powered by SCIFAX Company Group.
Out of more than 500 contenders worldwide, Prof. Agyemang emerged top in a highly competitive selection process that celebrates excellence in research, innovation and academic impact across disciplines.

Reacting to the honour, Prof. Agyemang described the award as a pivotal milestone in his academic journey.

While acknowledging that his publication volume is modest, the panel highlighted the strong citation impact and interdisciplinary relevance of his work, particularly in financial development and renewable energy studies within the ECOWAS region.
The review further stated that he maintains credible academic visibility through established research platforms such as Scopus and ORCID. It concluded that although his output reflects an emerging research trajectory, the qualitative assessment demonstrates strong academic merit and alignment with the award category, marking him as a “competent and deserving candidate with continued potential for higher research impact”.
Explaining the distinguishing factors behind his selection, Prof. Agyemang pointed to a blend of innovation, inclusivity and pedagogical transformation.
