HFC Bank has opened its 10th branch in the country.
Situated at Agbogbloshie in the central business district of Accra, the bank is expected to provide varied business facilities to both traders and small and medium scale enterprises located there.

Boafo Micro Finance Services Limited, a subsidiary of the bank, was also commissioned at the same premises.

Boafo specializes in the provision of micro business loans and micro housing finance to low-income earners in Ghana.

Opening the branch, Managing Director of the bank, Asare Akuffo re-assured the Ghanaian public of the bank's commitment towards ensuring that their basic needs for business and housing finance facilities are satisfied.

He therefore urged all especially small and medium business operators to do business with his outfit as a first step towards accessing the available facilities to enhance their businesses and realize their dreams.

Mr. Akuffo observed that HFC Bank stands tall amongst the 23 banks operating in Ghana today.

This, he explained, is because his outfit offers the most diversified range of financial services including commercial banking, mortgage financing, micro business financing, micro housing financing, asset management and funds management.

He attributed the rapid growth in the bank's development over the past three-and-a-half years of becoming a universal bank to the positive response of customers to its range of services.

“Our deposits have grown by over 60 per cent per annum over the past two years and our assets have also grown at about the same pace. We could not have achieved this without a high level of acceptance of our brand on the Ghanaian market."

Mr. Akuffo disclosed plans to provide nationwide presence by the close of 2009, promising to offer world class banking in a down-to-earth manner to all customers irrespective of income.
