Botwe And Addo Kufuor File Nominations

A former Minister for Information, Mr Daniel Kweku Botwe and the out-gone Minister for Defence, Dr Addo Kufuor,yesterday, in Accra, filed their nominations to become the flagbearers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) come December, 22nd.  

In all, 19 members of the NPP picked their nomination forms 14, have so far filed with their nomination fee of ¢250million. They arrived with supporters amidst brass band music and dancing in their party colours. In all, an estimated 300 supporters followed them.

Mr Dan Botwe said he has dedicated himself to the struggle at different levels of the party and has sought the mandate of the prospective delegates to bring his considerable wealth of experience to the highest level.

On his part, Dr Addo Kufuor said he can see a positive sign in the country looking at the infrastructure put in place by the Kufuor government like the Bui dam, solving of the energy crisis, low inflation rate, low interest rate, etc. He thinks he is the man with the competency to continue the good work..

The General Secretary of the party, Nana Ohene Ntow, who received the forms acknowledged the clean campaign they have so far conducted and asked them to foster unity in the party.
