A policeman who sustained gunshot wounds in an exchange of fire with some suspected armed robbers in Kumasi on Tuesday is out of hospital.
Constable Ebenezer Obeng Darko shot and killed one of the suspects who attempted robbing a cold store at Asafo, a suburb of Kumasi.
The robbers inflicted cutlass wounds on him. Inspector Mohammed Tanko of the Police Public Affairs Unit has told Luv FM in Kumasi that the policeman was discharged the same day and was doing well.
He said though such situations were difficult moments for security personnel, they were ever ready to combat crime, and appealed for public support.
