Mr George Hikah Benson, Upper West Regional Minister, has promised a level playing ground for all Presidential Aspirants of the New Patriotic Party during their campaign in the region.
He made the promise when Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, one of the Aspirants, donated a total of 7,500 Ghana cedis (75 million cedis) to the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council towards mitigating the suffering of victims of the recent floods in the region.
Mr Kyerematen made the donation during a campaign tour of constituencies in the region to meet potential delegates to the Party's Presidential Primaries slated for December 22 this year and canvass for their support.
The amount, which was received on behalf of the RCC by Mr Benson, in the presence of his deputy, Mrs. Winifred Dy-yakah was for the purchase of food items for the victims.
He thanked Mr Kyeremanteng for the gesture and assured him that the donation would reach the target groups and touch many lives in the affected areas.
Mr Kyerematen said the donation should be able to support some of the victims to adjust to the unfortunate circumstances that they faced in the wake of the natural disaster, and expressed the hope that other individuals and organizations would also donate to ensure that they return to their normal lives.
