The Member of Parliament for Agotime-Ziope Constituency, Hon. Charles Agbeve, has announced plans to donate a brand new ultrasound machine with a printer to the Kpetoe Health Center before the end of the month.

This move aims to address the challenges faced by pregnant women who are often referred elsewhere for ultrasound scans.

Speaking in an interview during the commissioning of two newly built mechanised boreholes at Agortime Kpetoe on January 1 2026, MP Agbeve expressed his concern over the lack of facilities at the health center, including the absence of an ultrasound machine at the maternity block. He stated that this has been a significant burden on women, who are forced to travel elsewhere for scans, adding to their stress and expenses.

The Kpetoe health center currently serves as the only major medical facility in the area, as the district hospital, Agenda 111, is still under construction and only 10% complete. The MP's donation is expected to provide much-needed relief to the community.

In addition to the ultrasound machine, MP Agbeve also announced plans to procure basic eye equipment for the eye clinic attached to the health center. This will enable healthcare professionals to conduct detailed eye examinations and provide necessary medications and minor surgery.

The MP's initiative is part of his efforts to improve healthcare services in the constituency. The community is expected to benefit greatly from these donations, which will enhance the quality of healthcare services provided at the Kpetoe Health Center.

With efforts of making the District a gateway to health care Hon. Agbeve, a member of the Health Committee in Parliament, has recently commissioned A health facility at the Kpetoe Market to serve other suburbs of Kpetoe before referral to the main health center or other Higher facilities.

The donation ceremony is expected to take place before the end of the month, MP Agbeve however has extended an invitation to the public to join in the event.

With the total excitement from the community, people of Kpetoe are eagerly awaiting the donation and are hopeful that it will mark the beginning of improved healthcare services in the area
