His Excellency President J. A. Kufuor has congratulated the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu, and all Moslems in Ghana on the occasion of this year's celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr and wished them Bar-ka-d Salah.
He hoped that the month-long Ramadan, which is a period of fasting and prayer has been fruitful and brought them even closer to Allah, which is the wish of all Moslems everywhere.
President Kufuor urged them to continue to pray for Ghana for peace, prosperity and progress as well as the general peace and stability on the continent of Africa.
He called on all Moslems to endeavour to live in peace with one another and be each others keeper, even as they celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
