The Ghana Telecommunications (GT) Company has introduced toll free hotlines for its customers to report fraud, cable theft, unauthorised tapping of phone lines and manipulations of payphones.

The hotlines, which will help check acts that degrade the operations and service delivery of GT are 08617857 and 021-232043.

Mr. Eammuel Dziko, General Manager of GT in charge of Strategy and Business Development, disclosed these at a public forum organised by the company as part of its outreach programme at Elubo in the Western Region on Thursday.

He said GT innovations such as Easyfone, Easytalk and Smart Phone were aimed at reducing telephone bills of customers and to make it easy for them to access the company's lines.

Mr. Joseph Kyei, Western Regional Commercial Manager of the Company, announced that the company would soon open an office at Elubo and advised the customers to register their telephones with GT to reduce the risk of being stolen.

He also urged mobile phone users to be mindful of locations when making calls because weather affects reception of phones.

Mr. Kyei asked customers to pay their telephone bills promptly and regularly and to use pre-paid cards to reduce their bills.
