The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu-Nketiah, has departed Accra for Japan on a working visit.
Mr. Asiedu-Nketiah, who also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GHAPOHA), is leading a delegation from the Authority to participate in the Annual General Meeting of the International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH).
The conference is scheduled to take place in Kobe, Japan.
The gathering brings together leading figures in the global maritime industry to deliberate on strategies for enhancing port operations, shipping efficiency, and international trade. Ghana’s participation is expected to strengthen cooperation with international partners and attract new opportunities for the country’s ports sector.
The delegation is expected back in Ghana on October 12, 2025.
In Mr. Asiedu-Nketiah’s absence, the Vice Chairman of the NDC, Awudu Sofo Azorka, will serve as Acting National Chairman of the party.
