The Ghana Police Service has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining security and law and order across the country.
The service has urged the public to report suspicious activities and provide credible information to help in apprehending criminals.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, September 24, Director-General of the CID, COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, stressed the police’s determination to arrest offenders and ensure they face legal consequences, noting that no one is beyond the reach of the law.
“We wish to assure the good people of Ghana that the Ghana Police Service will continue to work around the clock to ensure security, law and order at all times in the country.
“As always, we call on all our stakeholders and the general public to continue to support the police, report suspicious activities and share credible information. To the criminals out there, always remember that you may run and hide, but we will surely get you arrested to face the full rigours of the law. We are coming for you,” she said.
This warning follows the arrest of ten suspected notorious criminals believed to be responsible for a series of rural bank robberies across several regions over the past six months.
