Vice President's Wife Meets Western Regional Minister

Hajia Ramatu Mahama, wife of the Vice President yesterday paid a courtesy call on Mr Anthony E. Amoah, Western Regional Minister, during which the two held a closed door meeting.

At the meeting were Deputy Regional Minister, Mr Kwesi Blay and Mr Philip Nkrumah, Shama Ahanta East Metropolitan Assembly Chief Executive.

Addressing members of Nasara Ladies Club later at Sekondi, Hajia Mahama said politics should be fun and not degenerate into violence that could ruin communities and homes. She said Ghanaians were one people and should not allow politics to divide them.

Hajia Mahama advised activists of political parties to live in harmony with each other and not as enemies.

She also abhorred the use of money by politicians to influence others. 'Money should not dominate politics,' she added.

She said the education of women was paramount for the development of the nation and the home and advised women to take the education of their children seriously.
