At the Achievers Graduation Ceremony at Shield International School in Adenta, Accra, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, delivered an inspiring message about the importance of education, personal growth, and timeless values.

Reflecting on her childhood in the 1960s, Hon. Gomashie urged the graduates to uphold values such as compassion, patriotism, and excellence as they step into the future.

In her speech, she emphasized that excellence is not just about top grades but about being a well-rounded individual with confidence, respect, and a deep love for one's country. “Excellence is about having the courage to pursue your potential without fear,” she said, encouraging the graduates to contribute meaningfully to society.

Hon. Gomashie also highlighted the significance of personalized education, warning against a one-size-fits-all approach. She stressed that each child’s unique talents should be nurtured and celebrated, ensuring that no student is left behind. Reflecting on the values instilled in her by her late mother, she reminded the graduates that education begins at home, and parents play a crucial role in shaping a child’s character.

Mrs. Jacqueline Mmieh Adeti, Principal of Shield International School, also addressed the graduates, reminding them that their journey is just beginning. "As you face new challenges and continue learning, remember that we believe in you and look forward to the great things you'll achieve," she said.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates, as the school community celebrated the achievements of the graduates and their bright futures ahead. Both speeches served as a powerful reminder that education should nurture both academic success and personal growth.
