The National Labour Commission (NLC) has directed the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), and the acting Registrar of the Births and Deaths Registry to appear before it on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
The move is aimed at resolving tensions between the two parties following CLOGSAG’s decision to embark on industrial action.
As part of its intervention, the NLC has instructed CLOGSAG to immediately suspend the strike until the Commission hears the case and facilitates a resolution.
The summons underscores the Commission’s mandate to promote peaceful labour relations and ensure compliance with the law.
