Ghana-China Business Summit slated for June 23 to 28

The highly anticipated Ghana-China Business Summit is slated to take place from Monday, June 23 to Friday, June 28, bringing together top executives from leading Chinese firms and Ghanaian investors, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.

The summit aims to unlock new opportunities, foster strategic partnerships, and capitalize on Ghana's growing role as a gateway to the West African market.

Held under the theme: “Synergizing Opportunities: Strengthening The Ghana-China Business Relationship and Fostering a 24 Hour Economy,” the summit will spotlight bilateral economic cooperation, with a focus on investment, innovation, and sustainable trade.

According to Mr. Dennis Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of Perfect World Company Limited – Sino Africa Group and coordinator of the summit, the event will serve as a critical platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, and collaborative exploration of investment avenues.

Mr. Anderson revealed that the Office of the President, through Chief of Staff Mr. Julius Debrah, has endorsed the summit, affirming its importance in strengthening ties between Ghana and China. He added that the event seeks to create new channels for partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborative projects between businesses in both countries.

The summit will highlight opportunities across key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, technology, finance, logistics, and tourism—all central to Ghana's economic transformation agenda.

Mr. Anderson said the Ghana-China Business Summit has received backing from several government agencies and institutions, who recognize the event’s potential to catalyze economic growth through increased investment and trade.

“It will also provide a platform for Ghanaian businesses to access the West African market through partnerships with Chinese companies,” Mr. Anderson noted.

The summit, he emphasized, is poised to be a landmark event on Ghana’s business calendar, offering a space where cross-border stakeholders can forge long-term economic alliances that benefit both nations.

“We are going to be exploring ways to promote economic development through partnerships and investments, showcasing innovative technologies and solutions that can drive economic growth, and fostering sustainable development through responsible business practices,” he said.

The Ghana-China Business Summit stands as a premier event for deepening bilateral relations, unlocking new markets, and positioning Ghana as a hub for regional trade and investment.
