Frimpong Manso Institute celebrates fathers, urges renewed commitment to moral leadership

The Frimpong Manso Institute (FMI) has joined the global community in celebrating Father's Day, extending heartfelt congratulations to fathers, especially Ghanaian fathers, both at home and abroad, for their invaluable contributions to family and society.

In a statement issued on Sunday, June 15, 2025, the Institute paid tribute to the pivotal role fathers play in shaping the lives of their children. FMI acknowledged the immense sacrifices many fathers make to provide, protect, and nurture their families, describing their efforts as both noble and worthy of national recognition.

“Fathers deserve honor for their paternal love and indispensable roles in shaping the lives of children,” the statement noted.

While applauding the dedication of responsible fathers, FMI also expressed concern over the lapses of some who have abandoned or diminished their roles, warning that such neglect threatens the moral fabric of the youth and the broader society.

The Institute urged fathers to rise to their full responsibility by embracing their leadership roles within the home and community. FMI emphasized the importance of spiritual and moral guidance in raising disciplined, value-driven children who can positively impact the nation.

“Fathers must reassert their patriarchal roles, guiding their children with spiritual and moral values to guarantee a bright future,” the statement added.

As Ghana marked the occasion, FMI underscored the significance of fatherhood rooted in integrity, compassion, and wisdom—qualities the Institute believes are crucial for raising the next generation of responsible citizens and visionary leaders.

FMI concluded by encouraging collaboration among fathers, mothers, and the wider community to build a more stable and prosperous society for Ghana’s youth.

“A brighter future for our country begins with strong families and morally grounded parenting,” the Institute affirmed.
