The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Chereponi, Hon. Amadu Kofi Sheini, has officially launched a fence wall construction project for Chereponi Senior High School, marking a key milestone in the district’s push to strengthen educational infrastructure and ensure a safe learning environment for students.
The initiative, a joint effort between the Chereponi District Assembly and the Yaa Naa, reflects a united commitment by local government and traditional leadership to protect school property and enhance academic conditions. As part of the community’s contribution, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) donated GH¢20,000 to jumpstart the project.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Hon. Sheini expressed deep appreciation to the Yaa Naa for his unwavering support and leadership in championing the project. He also commended the collective effort of traditional authorities, landowners, security agencies, stakeholders, and the PTA for their active involvement and commitment.
“The completion of this fence wall will go a long way in protecting the school’s property and, more importantly, providing a secure and peaceful environment where students can focus on their studies,” Hon. Sheini noted. He called on the community to fully support the committee tasked with overseeing the construction to ensure timely and successful completion.
This project adds to a growing list of educational initiatives led by the DCE to uplift standards in Chereponi. With education at the center of the district’s development agenda, the fence wall is expected to significantly impact student performance and school management by eliminating security concerns.
A committee has been established to manage and monitor progress on the project, and residents have been encouraged to provide their full support—financial, material, and moral—to ensure its completion within the planned timeline.
This latest development is not just about building a wall; it is a symbol of the district’s determination to invest in the future of its children and create an environment where quality education can thrive.
