Africa through its European colonial masters and after its independence in the 1960s was kept in the darkness of understanding basics and advanced aspects of life and the world on an academic level. Critical minds are not hoped for as able to challenge African leaders making them uneasy to stop corruption, mismanagement, and taking their voters for granted at the polling stations. The democratic and further values of the whites do not match with African traditions and are not helpful for African societies to prosper in their rights. Asian societies with the advice and help have advanced economies like Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, etc. to stand tall to fill job vacancies by asking foreigners to come to their nations and help to support the National Gross Income and development.
Ancient Europe filled with the spirits of Plato, Aristotle, Epikur Epithet, and Seneca ensured humanity grew from strength to strength by humanistic education approaches. They saw the need for societies to grow economically and politically as much as culturally and socially teaching various subjects for all like national language, foreign language, math, biology, chemistry, sports, religion, philosophy, geography, politics and history, art and music as essential and the basis of any successful society on a long-term basis. They saw these needed for increased knowledge and innovation which translates into better administration and governance of the nation besides economic success. The Greek Kingdoms and Roman Empire were indeed open libraries of humanistic findings standing in rivalry to civilizations like Mali, Egypt, and the Moors in northern Africa.
Singapore and South Korea lecture at public and private schools above subjects required by the national education authorities, yet their societies are rich and prosperous and their countries' administrations work for their people well besides small problems on the issues of human rights like freedom of speech.
Africa is filled with democracies based on tampering with election results, corruption of the new political elites, influence of the white man their old and new colonial masters, family-run governments, and declared preservation and protection of human rights only violated from time to time when seen as appropriate. Money talks about justice in these countries, yet money is not available to all equally or basically. Unlike Asian countries and their democratic dictatorships so Rwanda in Africa, most African nations struggle to survive without handouts from the White man and IMF programs. Time is not at their side facing overpopulation, climate change, and destruction of the environment besides dwindling natural resources exploited by the speed of time and greed.
While the white man had the luxury in the past and his status in the current time, Africa must catch up fast not to lose out against fierce competitors from outside the continent. To bring all citizens and their children and children's children fast into employment in their democratic settings where changing the mentally of citizens to be hardworking, disciplined, time respecting, honest, creative, organized, planful minded and team players supporting each other and not taking them to witchcraft masters with their pulling down mentality is hard to come by their school curriculums must adapt accordingly.
Some schools in Germany and Austria incorporate incubators of economic success into their schools. Teachers have changed their approach to raising champions, away from focusing on humanistically educated children to students who learn at school everything needed for their later life; no more precious lifetime wasted. Students come together to form start-ups and register companies. With the help of lecturers, they get information on bookkeeping, company laws, HR aspects, how to find business ideas, aspects of business development and strategies, marketing, and finding funding. Students who want to become lawyers, engineers, medical doctors, lecturers etc. still follow the traditional paths at school and the old curriculum.
Africa for the current and next two and three generations needs jobs to bring prosperity, political and social stability, and their nations. Based on economic strength and at best dominion, a new humanistic elite can be raised to complete the journey of development and glory. Invention of new products and services supported by all wings of public administration and with private support leads to economic freedom away from dependency on handouts. African leaders will face liberated African minds and must take heart and use wisdom to use this unchartered territory for their glory; a chance, not a threat. The alternative is to feel the hands of the white man around the neck of blacks always.
