What If It's Not My Ass? Abilolo's Random Musings!

I know you're suspicious! Lol! Some people might swear it’s a vagina. Others might bet it’s my buttocks with the ‘central headquarters’ boldly showing. Hehehe 😳

So, I took a close-up shot of the part of my leg right under my knee cap. And guess what? At first glance, it seriously looks like something...

And just when all you viewers were about to shout, “Eeii Abilolo has joined the leak squad!” I lift my leg, and Holy Barnabas !! It’s just a leg! A humble knee! Innocent! Unbothered! in a harmless video of a casual stretching exercise which would certainly not fit PG-13 ratings!

But here is the most important lesson that made me want to put this piece together...

We live in a world where people are too quick to jump to conclusions. Where our appetites for scandal, for gossip, for juicy disgrace, can trick our minds into seeing what is not there. All it takes is a split second of misjudgment founded on impatience, and boom! someone’s reputation is on trial without a shred of evidence.

This is the fuel of gossip. The lifeblood of envy. The playground of idle folks and the insecure.

I am reminded of Noah and his son Ham. The old man had just survived a flood that wiped out the world, planted a vineyard, and gotten a little too merry. In his vulnerable moment, one son saw his nakedness and instead of covering his father, he ran off dishonoring him. That’s how most simpleminded people operate today.

At the first sight of someone else’s seeming vulnerability or what looks like weakness or downfall, they don’t pause, reflect, or verify. They run to town with skewed headlines. But oftentimes, it’s not even real nakedness they saw. It’s their own unhealed appetite for scandal projecting filth onto innocent situations. They feed on the foolishness they desire and end up parading error as evidence. Some people don’t need facts; just a whiff of controversy to ignite their self-righteous torches.

I have lived enough and observed a good number of people do not really want the truth. Their biases would not even allow them embrace dissent! They would never bother to make excuses for the person they hold in animosity under funny considerations. They just want something; anything that fits the narrative in their heads about those they may not understand, do not like, or in their vain estimations, cannot compete with.

But just give it time… Truth has a way of stretching its leg. And when it does, the illusions eventually break!

The following scriptures in Psalm 2 captures the beginning and end in such a fascinating way;

Psalms 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

2:5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

God does not panic by rumors. He doesn't sweat over smear campaigns. He laughs! Maybe because He is the all Powerful and all knowing and even more assuring, He knows how things would end for those on the side of truth and those on the other side. All who sit with Him? They learn to laugh too.

So before you share that “hot tea," over the naked vagina or butts you think you saw, maybe you should take a second look.

It might just be a knee. Abilolo's Knee and very reason he keeps walking with might! Hahahaha!
