Do Me I Do You Vendetta Against Opponents Was Perpetuated By President Nana Akufo Addo

President Prof. Atta Mills and his Vice John Mahama did their best to douse the vendetta against political opponents after a change in government.

President Mills allowed most appointees of President John Kuffour to remained in office for some reasonable time, and it was alleged some of the appointees took advantage of his magnanimity to destroyed all evidence that might incriminate them.

Based on that magnanimity shown by President John Atta Mills, created an unfavourable relationship with his former Boss President Jerry John Rawlings, and to extent an enmity between them which eventually weakened the base of the party.

The cracks motivated Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings to break away and formed the National Democratic Party, that created a serious difficulties for the founder of the National Democratic Congress.

Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings personal interest made her to align with Nana Akufo Addo. Unfortunately that unholy alliance exposed the husband President Jerry John Rawlings to his worse enemy Nana Akufo Addo which marvelled almost every Ghanaian.

That feud eventually caused the defeat of the NDC in the 2016 general elections led and Nana Addo ascended to the presidency as the president of Ghana. Unknowingly President Nana Akufo Addo had bitter toxic vendetta against President John Mahama and his appointees.

Sadly the acclaimed human rights lawyer dismantled the Civil and Public Service management policies and also desecrated the good precedent set by his predecessor Presidents Mills and John Mahama for not persecuting nor prosecuting perceived appointees of the previous administration. President Nana Akufo Addo did the worse and chance out almost everybody in managerial position.

Every changes in government the casualties are Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Chief Executives, Managing Directors and occasionally the Deputies. Strangely President Nana Akufo Addo went below to the level of Public Relation Officers and Communication Directors who were the mouth piece of the institutions and removed them. Notable case was Mr Alfred Ogbamey Director of communication, Ghana Gas limited was forcefully removed.

The President Nana Addo prioritized party propagandist over professional public relations officers, hence he replaced them with party propagandist who knew nothing about the institutions they have been posted to, and additional time and resources was wasted to trained them.

If President Nana Akufo Addo were to adhered to what his predecessor's started, today Mr Afenyo - Markin and Others would not be chanting the You Do Me I Do You mantra.

Instead of the New Patriotic Party being remorseful for the pain they visited on most Ghanaians, rather chose to issue threats of what they will do if power is transferred to them again. The New Patriotic Party must not pretend Ghanaians have forgotten what they did to Mr Barker Vormawor and his Democracy hub demonstrators. The only way the NPP will respect the rights of others, they must be forced to swallow similar or same dose they administered to others.

It is highly unconscionable for the NPP to think they have the right to administer bitter punishment to offenders of the law, and have the right to issued threats when a similar dose is prescribed for their members who violates the law.
