Ghanafuor, truth be told, it's vital that President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang instil discipline amongst all their appointees - as an example to society generally. The plain truth is that your average Ghanaian is neither disciplined nor patriotic when it comes to following the rules and regulations meant to ensure that our system works smoothly for the benefit of all demographics nationwide.
This widespread contempt for rules and regulations, which manifests in lawlessness, is one of the reasons why we are not progressing at a faster rate that a nation with such an amazing talent pool ought to be making.
Sadly, examples abound: Chiefs, notorious for selling the same parcels of land to unsuspecting victims, also collude with crooked individuals in officialdom to assist galamayers, illegal loggers engaged in chainsaw bushcut lumber production, and illegal sandwinning nationwide - a terrible dilemma that's destroying our priceless natural heritage in a warming planet that has made natural capital more valuable than all the minerals underneath our remaining biodiversity rich rainforests, combined, Ghanafuor.
As wise and aspirational Africans, keen to experience the transformation of our beautiful and bountiful country in our own lifetimes, all of us need to clearly understand that throughout human history, no nation has prospered without being anchored on the virtues of discipline, unity, and sense of community in all its societal demographics. Enough really is enough, ooooo, Ghanafuor! Hmmm, 3y3nsem piiii, oooo. Yoooooooooo...
Finally, dear critical reader, let's opt to make discipline, hard work, honest stewardship, and national unity our key societal watchwords to ensure that we transform our country, bankrupted by the greed of our avaricious and mostly undisciplined ruling elites, into one of the most prosperous societies in Africa, oooo, wai, Ghanafuor. Yoooooooooo. A word to the wise...
