Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng aka Alan Cash in my estimation is a spent force unworthy to be cajoled into rejoining NPP. He is an overambitious person who desires to have his own way in NPP as their presidential candidate to eventually become the president of Ghana.
He would not settle for any inferior position come the NPP presidential primaries voted at their national congress.
He had had on two occasions a reason to quit NPP, when failed to land his dream position of election as their presidential candidate.
Why should such an overambitious selfish individual who thinks he is better than anyone else within the party, hence leaving the party whenever he failed to attain his dream goal, be begged to come back to NPP?
Is there not a nice proven Akan saying that goes, “Ayɛ ko, ayɛ no, ɛntoso mmpreɛnsa”, simply translated into English as, “It has happened once, twice, but it won’t be allowed to happen a third time”? If the saying stands credible and is time-tested, why should it not apply to Alan Cash? Do you expect him to come only to quit a third time to mess up NPP? No and no!
He could not settle for the running mate of Dr Bawumia to avoid any acrimonious NPP flag bearer contest yet, he was ready to accept a lesser ministerial position in NDC, if President Mahama had offered him one but was not.
That attitude he displayed coupled with the bad things he said about NPP while campaigning as an independent presidential candidate, shows how a saboteur and selfish person he is. Such an individual is a hundred times over not trustworthy to be persuaded to come back to NPP.
He will not make the party any better but worse off when he is brought back.
He could see his smoothest level by the fewer votes he got when he went independent in the 2024 general elections.
Alan’s case should not be seen and interpreted in terms of the other Akan saying that goes, “Ɔbosom ani wɔhɔyi, yɛ bɔ no mmprɛnsa”, which briefly translates into English as “third time lucky”. No, his behaviour is devious and should not be tolerated any further.
Will he accept to come back as an ordinary person ready to accept any post, or no post, or he will still aim higher and will not settle for any position less than the flag bearer of NPP?
What are reasons for aspiring to get Alan Cash back into NPP, if I may ask those mooting that idea?
Alan Cash is a rotten nut among NPP so he should not be tolerated to spoil the lot.
NPP should not be afraid. The party is sunk by their woeful performance in election 2024, however, they will resurrect from their current comatose come what may.
Don’t entertain Alan. Don’t allow him any further chance to hold you to ransom, o ye NPP faithful. Let him go forever to come back no more!
