A team from the Australian Commission has paid a working visit to the Ministry of Interior on Friday in Accra to discuss mutual interests and explore opportunities for collaboration between the two countries.

The visit, led by the Australian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Berenice Owen-Jones, was on exchanging views to enhance cooperation in areas such as security, governance, and economic development.

The Minister for the Interior, Mr. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, expressed appreciation for the strong relationship between Ghana and Australia.

He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration and highlighted potential areas of partnership, including law enforcement, border management and disaster response.

Her Excellency, Berenice Owen-Jones, affirmed Australia’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s development agenda and strengthening bilateral ties.

The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to identify specific areas for collaboration and work towards deepening the relationship between the two countries.
