President John Dramani Mahama has extended deep appreciation to the chiefs and people of the Upper West Region for their resounding support in the 2024 general elections.

Speaking at a well-attended ‘Thank You’ durbar in Wa, he lauded the region’s unwavering loyalty to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which secured a clean sweep of all parliamentary seats in the area.

“Your votes delivered a resounding victory for the NDC, including ALL parliamentary seats in the Upper West Region,” President Mahama said, adding, “Thank you for your trust and confidence.”

The President reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to fulfil the party’s #ResettingGhana agenda, with a particular focus on infrastructure development through the GHS 14 billion ‘Big Push’ initiative.

He assured residents that the region would receive its fair share of transformational projects, with major road networks like the Wa-Tumu-Bolgatanga trunk road and the Techiman-Wenchi-Bole-Wa-Hamile corridor set for construction and rehabilitation.

Mahama emphasized that these projects are designed to bridge long-standing infrastructure deficits and open up economic opportunities for the people of the Upper West Region. He pledged that his government would work tirelessly to improve the quality of life in the region and across the country.

“Thank you, Upper West Region, for your unwavering support,” he concluded.
