President Mahama set to resume Thank You Tour in Upper West Region on May 15

President John Dramani Mahama is set to continue his nationwide Thank You Tour with a scheduled visit to the Upper West Region on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

The tour forms part of the former president’s ongoing efforts to show appreciation to traditional leaders and residents for their strong support during the 2024 general elections, where he secured a decisive victory as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer.

A key feature of the visit will be a major public event at the Jubilee Park in Wa, where Mr. Mahama is expected to address party faithful, chiefs, opinion leaders, and members of the public.

The event is aimed at celebrating the region’s consistent support and strengthening ties between the NDC and its grassroots base.

The Upper West Region, long considered a stronghold of the NDC, played a crucial role in securing wins for both the presidential and parliamentary candidates during the last election.

Mr. Mahama has already toured several regions as part of this post-election initiative. His stop in the Upper West Region is expected to deepen the party’s engagement with local communities and set the stage for the NDC’s future political activities, including the 2028 polls.
