TUE, 29 APR 2025

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Mr. Kwame Agbodza has conducted an inspection on the ongoing road construction work at the Ghana Military Academy's Jungle Warfare School on Monday in the Eastern Region.

According to the Minister, the visit aimed to assess progress and ensure the timely completion of the project.

Mr Agbodza urged the contractor to accelerate efforts to complete the roadwork.

The contractor on the other hand, assured the Minister that the work would be completed within three months.

The Commanding Officer, Lt. Col. Jacob Codjoe, raised concerns about the poor road network within the school, which he described as posing operational challenges.

He emphasised that inadequate access hinders emergency services and limits military and security operations.

The Achiase- Jungle Warfare Roads are critical access routes within the general area of the school. The improved road network is expected to enhance military operations, logistical movements and access to emergency services.
