President John Dramani Mahama has launched “Adwumawura Programme”, an ambitious initiative aimed at supporting the creation of 10,000 youth-led businesses annually in the country.
The launch which took place at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi is a move by the government to invest in the future of Ghanaian youth and also give them every reason to be proud of their homeland Ghana.
“The Adwumawura Programme is not just a mere policy initiative but, also a declaration of faith in the extraordinary potentials of our Ghanaian youth,” President Mahama said.
The Adwumawura Programme will be implemented by the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment.
