Access Bank has been hit with a major scandal after one of its employees, identified as Stephen in Nigeria, was arrested for secretly recording his female colleagues in the office washroom.

Stephen allegedly planted hidden cameras in the female restroom, capturing over 400 explicit videos without the knowledge or consent of his victims.

Shockingly, the footage was stored on his personal devices and later distributed through platforms such as Telegram, OnlyFans, and other pornographic sites.

The breach of privacy, taking place within the supposed safety of the workplace, has triggered widespread outrage. Colleagues and the public alike have expressed deep concern over the violation of trust and security.

Stephen’s activities came to light after he was caught and subsequently taken into police custody.

He is currently facing charges related to invasion of privacy, illegal recording, and exploitation.

Authorities are still investigating the full extent of the abuse, including how long the recordings took place and the number of affected individuals.

The incident has raised serious questions about Access Bank’s internal security measures and its ability to safeguard employees.

Management is expected to come under intense scrutiny as the investigation unfolds, with demands likely for stronger protocols to prevent similar breaches in the future.

The actions of Stephen, a trusted employee, have left a deep scar, shaking both the workplace environment and public confidence in the institution.

Access Bank's reaction
Access Bank has confirmed that it is cooperating with law enforcement after dismissing an employee accused of secretly filming colleagues in the bank’s restrooms.

In an official statement, the bank’s management confirmed that the matter had been escalated to the appropriate authorities, and an investigation is currently underway.

“We uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and any form of privacy violation,” the statement said. “We are fully cooperating with the authorities and engaging with affected employees to provide all necessary support.”

Access Bank assured the public that updates regarding the case will be shared through its official communication channels, stressing that the safety, dignity, and well-being of both employees and customers are its top priorities.

The statement follows viral social media reports identifying the former employee as Stephen Ifeanyichukwu Ejezie, a former quality assurance specialist at Access Bank's contact centre in Oniru, Lagos. Ejezie was allegedly discovered in the female restroom around 1:30 am on Wednesday, where he was accused of secretly recording numerous video clips of his colleagues.

Although Ejezie’s employment has been terminated, some affected employees have raised concerns about the potential for justice in the case.

Access Bank thanked stakeholders for their concern and support as the investigation continues.
