The world in war is a world in history

The world in war is a world in history

The Easter Peace Marches in many countries around the are a sign individuals want to live in peace and harmony. While wars in many countries around the are ongoing the participants of these marches are convinced that conflicts, different interests, changed conditions, and changed interests can be solved peacefully by finding compromises that work for all sides. Critics call these demonstrators naive and romantic others point to the character of humans; lovers, sinners, and haters in one body.

The principle of history is simple in the past, present, and future: constant change. Borders, political systems, and power balance are always on the move. No good-minded people can work against the law of history. To accomplish reforms peaceful compromises are the tools to use. Serious fundamental changes in history among nationals and cross-border were always dealt with using war. War was seen as politics with different means which held certain truths in it. When a party wants or thinks needs something the other party does not want to surrender and not lose out fundamentally negotiations come to a deadlock. Like Alexander the Great using his sword to cut loose the knot of Gordeon people and nations take to ultimate force. If this would not be true for the future then history and its laws are a lie.

After WWII the EU gradually was established to keep lasting peace in Europe. Europe was a continent that had seen war after war with periods in which enemies became friends before fight broke out again. Other continents have experienced similar developments. In times of peace, people should be thankful for a prosperous period with no blood on the battlefield. Even if individuals and nations work on overcoming the evil in us toward others this will not override the law of history only giving humans time to rest. The peace we in Europe enjoy now is no guarantee that there will never be war among us ever again. If for a mysterious reason war in Europe will never ever happen again, history will have to bury its principles and uplift the human race to the status of heavenly angles.

When the Cold War ended in the 1990s European armies reduced the numbers of soldiers and military arsenal. Atomic bombs on both sides of the political divide were seen as more than enough detergent for any aggressor to stay in its barracks. Yet, the idea of an increasingly sophisticated conventional war was never off the table. The interests have not significantly shifted in its core business only in the forms conducted. Any war ended bears the seed for another war. Not only can this be well observed in the Hamas-Israel war raising by its blood loss a new generation of people hating each other on both sides to take revenge and honor the dead bodies so in Ukraine or Sudan, Libya or Jemen to mention a few hot spots.

In the light of history and its principles Armies and their mandate must be redefined to benefit the nations. Ready for combat in wartime they must be justified in times of peace. Armies when not in combat cost "wasted, unused" money (unless their existence prevents any aggressor) and are a financial burden to any progressive economy. While in developed countries reduced armies can be helpful for emergency situations in developing countries they can be used for nation-building and training of the citizens.

Africans are not good at being on time always, working as a team, thinking strategically to a plan, supporting each other in times of trouble, finding creative solutions for unexpected problems, and having access to quality professional training. History can be used wisely or....Happy Easter.
