In the shifting tides of politics, when loyalty is rare and unity even rarer, one name has become synonymous with hope, healing, and strength: Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana, fondly known as Kalmonia.
Kalmonia’s journey is not one of privilege or shortcut. He rose from the ranks with hard work, resilience, and an unwavering belief in service. Today, he stands tall as a pillar of the Savannah NPP, having brought people together from all walks of life leaders, youth, the grassroots, even former opponents. Where others sow division, Kalmonia builds bridges.
“Remember not to inherit the enemy of others,” they say and Kalmonia lives this truth. His leadership is rooted in forgiveness, patience, and compassion. “Touch not my anointed,” the Lord warns, and surely, Kalmonia’s spirit of unity and boundless heart makes him a vessel of peace. His love and uniting spirit have been the mortar that cemented blocks into strong walls, walls that now shelter a growing, stronger party in Savannah.
I once opposed him publicly. I challenged him yet, even then, he embraced me with respect and unwavering brotherhood. That gesture alone spoke volumes of his character. His impeccable record of integrity and his transparent leadership humbled me. It’s rare to find a man who turns criticism into connection, and dissent into dialogue.
When he visited the United States, this man busy as he was reached out. He wanted to visit, despite having a tight schedule. That level of humanity isn’t political it’s personal. And it’s powerful.
In truth, we’ve seen supposed friends turn their backs. But Kalmonia? He’s the one who stood firm. In times when “enemies” extended olive branches, it was Kalmonia who walked through the door and sat at the table. It is because of him that dozens of families across the region now have jobs, opportunities, and restored hope. He didn’t do it for applause. He did it because it was right.
I am a living testament to his loyalty.
As the next elections approach, let us rally behind Kalmonia. Show him the same love and loyalty he has shown your families. Let us refuse to cooperate with those who thrive on hate, and instead, choose unity, progress, and leadership we can trust.
Let the Savannah NPP rise again, stronger and more united than ever before. And let that rise begin with the steady hand of Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana Kalmonia.
God bless Savannah NPP.
God be your strength, Alhaji Kalmonia.
