The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Dormaa East District Assembly, Hon. Osei Owusu King, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, held a meeting with heads of institutions, departments, and units within the district.

The purpose of the engagement was to familiarize himself with their respective roles and responsibilities.

During the meeting, officers took turns to introduce themselves, outline their duties, and brief the DCE on ongoing activities and projects in their departments. They also shared their achievements, challenges, and proposed suggestions to enhance the district’s development efforts.

Hon. Owusu King, expressing his appreciation for the warm welcome and the support he received during his confirmation, emphasized the importance of effective communication, coordination, and collaboration among all stakeholders. He noted that such synergy is vital for advancing the district’s development agenda.

“My doors are always open for collaboration and idea-sharing in the interest of the district,” he assured. He also urged the departmental heads to maintain close working relationships with their staff to ensure the smooth implementation of government policies and programs. He further encouraged a commitment to transparency and accountability to build public trust in the Assembly.

The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Mark Maxwell Mensah, who facilitated the meeting, clarified the specific roles of each department and unit, stressing the importance of collaboration to meet the overall objectives of the district. He commended the punctuality and professionalism of the leadership and encouraged them to uphold ethical standards. He also advised them to support the new DCE by giving him the space to exercise his leadership style to ensure the Assembly functions effectively.

The meeting, held at the District Assembly Hall, was attended by heads from key departments and units, including the District Health Directorate, Education Directorate, Agriculture Directorate, Births and Deaths Registry, Physical Planning Department, Statistical Service, Information Services Department, Development Planning, Social Welfare and Community Development, Finance and Administration, Works Department, Human Resources Department, Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit, as well as the Revenue, Budget, and Audit units.
