The Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri and Minority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh Dompreh, says the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has begun showing signs of failure barely six months into office.

According to him, it usually takes at least a year or two before a government begins to expose its weaknesses, but President John Mahama’s administration has proven otherwise.

“With most governments, it takes about one or two years before problems become evident. But with the NDC, they’ve been in office for less than six months, and already their shortcomings are becoming clear,” he said.

In an interview on Accra-based Asaasepa FM, Annoh Dompreh also took a swipe at the Minister of Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, over what he described as unprofessional conduct.

Kwakye Ofosu had referred to Assin South MP Rev. John Ntim Fordjour as a “clown” in an attempt to dismiss the latter’s claims about suspicious flights bringing illicit goods into the country.

Responding to this, the Nsawam Adoagyiri MP said the comment was unacceptable, especially coming from someone who speaks for the President.

“If you are the Minister of Communications and speak on behalf of the President, then every time you speak, it is as though the President himself is speaking. In one breath, the President urges corroboration and collaboration. In another, you jump the gun and accuse Rev. Ntim Fordjour of lying, even going as far as calling him a clown. Where do such comments come from? They should remember that pride comes before a fall,” he stated.

Annoh Dompreh further asserted that more scandals could hit the Mahama government if they continue on the current path.

“I will not curse this government, but by next year, you will witness the numerous scandals that will plague the Mahama administration in 2026. We will all be witnesses,” he added.

Your NPP party has already collapsed with your leaders already contemplating the formation of a new party. It is wishful thinking to say that the NDC party is already failing. Where did you get that from?. You have zero chance of coming to power in the foreseeable future, regardless of what lie you try to sell. I pity you.
