The Minister for Roads and Highways, Mr Kwame Agbodza has announced that government was considering a project, the Tamale Outer Ring Road, aimed at boosting economic activities and improving vehicular movement in and around Tamale.

He disclosed this during a courtesy call on the Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abubakari Mahama II, emphasizing that the project aligns with the President's vision to build better and lasting road infrastructure for Ghanaians.

Speaking at the Gbewaa Palace, the Minister noted that he and his team of engineers are undertaking inspection tour to gather firsthand information on selected key projects, which will inform strategic decisions on improving the country’s road network.

Mr Agbodza inspected the ongoing construction of the Gbewaa Palace where he made a personal donation of 500 bags of cement towards the project.

He also inspected the progress of work on the Daka Bridge at Yendi, the Tamale-Yendi-Tatale road, and the construction of a 60-metre span Bailey Bridge at Wapuli on the Saboba road.

The Yaa Naa lauded the government's "Big Push" Initiative, describing it as a catalyst for transforming the country.

He encouraged the Minister to foster strong collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality road infrastructure nationwide.
