Gertrude Torkornoo believes she has the right to continue serving as Chief Justice in Mahama's administration, despite the fact that she helped the worst government in Ghanaian history to increase crime, corruption, and money laundering, which ultimately caused the country's once vibrant economy, businesses, and investments to collapse. Just curious as to what Torkornoo is seeking in a government that doesn't share her enthusiasm for her crimes and fighting against corruption.
In November 2019, the Jezebel-type woman who is refusing to resign was nominated to the Supreme Court, and in December 2019, the legislature approved her nomination. After Kwasi Anin-Yeboah was forced to leave due to allegations of a $5 million bribe, she was sworn in as Chief Justice on December 17, 2019. Similar to Anin-Yeboah, Torkornoo exclusively served the NPP political party and idolized Akufo Addo since she was appointed by him. Consequently, Ghana suffered greatly as a result of her biased service.
Gertrude Torkornoo fully supported the awful dictatorship that ruined the lives of Ghanaians because she believed she was fighting against the opposition NDC. She never thought that the Akyeme Mafia's Mafioso style of governance would cause power to shift in Ghana. Corruption, money laundering, crimes with impunity, and embezzlement escalated as a result of her biased judicial service, finally leading to the collapse of Ghana's primary infrastructures, including the health and education sectors.
Akufo Addo expanded the crime net with the help of Gertrude Torkornoo, who never anticipated a change of government, as previously stated. This allowed many NPP politicians, including the former president himself, to participate in illegal mining, which led to environmental degradation and the pollution of the main rivers, amid babies’ deformities. Under Torkornoo, crime with impunity escalated to the point where corrupt NPP leaders like Godfred Dame, Jean Mensa, and Cecilia Dapaah can go free.
Afenyo-Markin, the minority leader of parliament, frequently sought biased rulings that would favor his political party by consistently breaking the Constitution, and Torkornoo not only became the savior that Akufo Addo and the NPP were searching for, but she also abused her position by making decisions on issues that should have been handled by Parliament House. Similar to that of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia, Torkornoo's tenure in Ghana was a political and economic tragedy that killed many, including pensioners.
Torkornoo’s backing of the NPP's corruption led to a national debt of GHC 763 billion as well as accrued debt in the departments of COCOBOD, ECG, and DVLA. In the midst of Jean Mensa's electoral crimes, Torkornoo added more justices to the Supreme Court, which was run by her tyrant, Akufo Addo, to torture Ghanaians. The Chief Justice disrespected President Mahama by mispronouncing her name; therefore, why should the president allow someone like that to serve in his administration?
Considering her conflicting goals, Mahama can’t possibly work with a woman such as Gertrude Torkornoo. She protected all the corrupt NPP leaders, including Cecilia Dapaah, and backed a corrupt and criminally active administration. However, Ghana has started afresh under this new administration in an effort to combat corruption, and since she is a stumbling block to the country's advancement, she has to be removed. Ghana requires a chief justice who is prepared to combat corruption without condoning it.
The new government must deal with a number of corruption cases involving widespread corruption and the looting of state properties made possible by the "Agyapadie Concept." Therefore, it is obvious that any NPP or Ghanaian politician who has embezzled state funds or has stolen state property in their possession will face legal action and, if convicted, face jail time. This is what many NPP leaders are terrified of, which is why they want Gertrude Torkornoo to remain and defend their crimes.
As patriotic Ghanaians who are proud of our country, we will not permit Gertrude Torkornoo and her crooks to further devastate our beloved country. Since she poses a threat to Ghana's economy, the Constitution, and our democracy, we will work to have her removed from office so that the country can use its resources to become great once more.
