Dear Love,
I hope this letter finds you in peace and in full readiness to reclaim power in the next elections, so you may rescue us from the indecisive Yohane.
As you well know, my love for you knows no bounds. Yet, for that very reason, you have caused me great pain.
Baby, my heart aches not only because of our painful defeat at the polls but also because of the way you have conducted yourself since that loss.
As a student of politics and an ardent follower of political talk shows, our defeat has made it incredibly difficult to listen to these discussions. Akosua recently sent me links to interviews granted by our secretary, Justin Kodua. In one of them, he attributed our loss to spirituality, virtually absolving himself of any wrongdoing. Other key figures have also spoken, pointing fingers at everyone but themselves, forgetting that when you point one finger, the rest point back at you.
My love, I needed to set the foundation for this letter, hence my paragraph. Many have had their say regarding our defeat, but when Madam Slangs (Hon. Adwoa Safo) attempted to have a bite at the cherry, you acted through Justin to issue a directive barring members from speaking out. You even summoned her before the disciplinary committee.
If this isn’t selective justice, then tell me, my love, what is? What pains me the most is that this directive came through Justin, someone who had already shared his views on our defeat but is now silencing others from doing the same. It is this same selective approach that has led us to where we are today. Respectfully, my love, let’s not repeat the same mistakes as we prepare for 2028.
Baby, our children, Aseda and Ayeyi, have already started campaigning for their preferred presidential candidate. Both have promised a SHOWDOWN if you repeat the same missteps as last year, particularly those leading up to the primaries.
With love and hope for a better tomorrow,
Domfeh, Kwabena Gyeabour(DKG)
