1. Afenyo, why now
Afenyo Markins now says he will support the energy minister, John Jinapo to sort out pure thievery and rot at the ECG. My question is why is Mr. Markins telling us this and why now, given that he Afenyo Markins was the board chairman of ECG and not long ago he and the other cohorts were telling us that they, with Akufo Addo were providing Ghanaians with the best governance Ghana had seen.
2 Firing Squad Days, forgotten so quickly
On ECG itself, so the high-flying top executives, politicians and non-politicians, would spend millions of dollars to(procure) import electrical materials. When the materials arrive at Osagyefo's/Atta Mills/Mahama Tema Harbour, it will be left uncleared and then the materials will be sold at a discount to local foreign investors for scrap. The materials will then be recycled, send back to where we imported them from to be made back into fresh new electrical goods then our learned rulers will go and by again. Eii Ghanaians, how quickly we have forgotten the _Firing Squar Days_ ayoooo
3 Where is Adwoa Sarfo's school feeding audit
Adwoa Sarfo said she was tasked by the then president, Akufo Addo to conduct an audit into the school feeding programme. She says she did her job but when she presented her findings to the then president Akufo Addo, he told her to forget about any audit. So, in the end, her audit didn't have any use and according to her, that audit material is gathering dust somewhere. My question is, why hasn't the tax authorities in Ghana called Adwoa Sarfo on this matter. It is the duty of the tax department to audit everything in the country so if Madam Sarfo has already done it, what are they waiting for. In any proper country, the tax and revenue department will have called Adwoa Sarfo for tete-a-tete.
4 Did Akufo Addo and his family actually paid 14, 17 thousand dollars for private jet hire or some people took tsobo?
Yesterday I read Asase radio pronouncements to the effect that Mahama had directed the NIB to investigate Akufo Addo's travels reported by joy news. Just as I was about to pour myself a shot to toast to this news, in came the dependable clever boy Felix Ofosu Kwarkye, my local MP from Abura to pour cold water on the news that the president had not asked anyone to look into that matter. To say I was deflated will be an understatement. I will like to inform Mr President that it will be of paramount interest to we the people to find out if our former president placed value for money considerations in his personal expenses or he just decided to blow the moneys.
Have we been cheated by a private airline company or as I suspect, judging by current trending revelations, we've been lied to by people in trust. There could be more to what has been let out in public about this matter. It is either president Akufo Addo was recklessly reckless with the public purse or some of his appointees had taken tsobo. If for nothing at all, we must learn lessons, never to repeat. President Mahama, I know this may not be a top priority for now but all the same, over to you Thank you
5. More Jakpas needed, not less
By very simple calculation. By a simple analysis, Ghana, we shouldn't have gone to IMF. Indeed, Ghana shouldn't be relying on budget subsidy or support of over 30%. In fact, we shouldn't even be bothered if some buffoon somewhere says he is cutting foreign aid assistance in order to prepare for an avoidable impending war. But we are where we are. Our finance and economy terrain are so decimated to smithereens. Our people who had the responsibility and opportunity to help reshape the destiny of the country have rather taken that chance to steal as much as they could and then more.
For this reason, I wonder why any sane person would rather be worried about search party leader, Captain Jakpa. Anyone who's main concern is Jakpa, well, eat your hearts because Jakpa, until or unless he steps out of line or his superiors find him unfit or incompetent, he is not going anywhere. Learn to live with it. We need more, not less Jakpa for this current corruption combating process. Thank you again.
6. For an African ruler, Rawlings relatively lived a modest life but the opprobrium has extended even to his little girl Zanetor
If a junior executive in an obscure position has more than 20 houses scattered around town, in just 8 years. Rawlings ruled for 19 years and virtually had nothing yet the red spit bile on his person and on his name even in death. I did write the other time that we need more prisons. Because from the top of Akufo Addo's presidency to the lowest npp political operative, all the way to the parliament, many, many people will have to be put to the legal sword and I believe many of them will go to jail.
We need more jail places. Just think about it, we have Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Napo, Brian Acheampong, Amewu Pee, Nitiwul, the guy who did Planting for no Food and no jobs, Ursla, the AMERI people, the PDS people, the Pwalugu people, the Cathedral people, the MSL people, the Agyapa Royals people, the Keta port people. The list goes on and on. Hundreds of people will have to be investigated. As for this one, even if we have to go borrow from United Sudan to build more prison cells, I will support. Thanks and thanks again.
